Flashback Friday...

I love this picture of Trent, LOOK how skinny he was. Trent looks like a skeleton, I will never forget how much he loved Sam, he looked forward to her coming over or me taking him over to her house. I love Sam, she is such a wonderful friend and SO beautiful! The comment she made with Trent's passing away is that she will never forget when she would come over to my house and we would lock my bedroom door because we wanted to be alone :)
Trent would sit and pound on the door, Sam said I will never forget when you would say "Trent quit pounding on the door", you would always hear a laugh from Trent, and he would keep on going. Im so blessed and Thankful I had such wonderful friends that took time to know Trent who also loved him.

ThAnK YoU!!

Danica gave both of her teacher's a scentsy warmer with 4 different bars.. She LOVED her teachers, she was SO excited to get them for her GrEaT teachers.. Her Teacher Mrs. Lewis sent her this Thank You card, I thought it was so cute that her teacher mailed her a Thank You...

Never again!!

A month or so ago I had seen that Ashley Tisdale was coming to our Walmart, I thought this would be a fun event since BRYHN LoVeS her from High School Musical. The catch was we had to go to the middle of the store and purchase a cd and then get in line.. Ok, whatever so we did!! The line was hecka long but since were were 2 or more hours early it should be fine... HMMM! WHATEVER, so MaryAnn (my friend) and her daughter (Danica & Bryhn's friend) were there so I had her in line with us. The kids were having SO much fun and SO excited..
Ashley Tisdale decided to show up an hour and half late- we were then told we may not get to see her. WHAT? Was it our fault she was late? NO! DID THEY CARE? NO, so by this time both of my daughter's were crying, I was SO annoyed. They Then came when were not way far off but far off and said we were not going to make it, so MaryAnn took Averi and Danica to try and get a look, I then went over and took Bryhn and could hardly get a picture, she had her bodyguards in front of her so nobody could see her or take pictures... NOT COOL, she still had 15 minutes left until they said she was leaving, all of a sudden she stood up and all of them walked out.. Walmart SAID NOTHING to anyone until 5 minutes later..
So, I can say I AM NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL..
I do not think I will EVER get my children excited. Nice that we bought the cd and they tell us to unwrap it and that is all we come home with, nice for her she get's there late leaves early, sells out of her cd's and leaves- SO how should we feel.
KUDOS to you who had someone stand in line for ya, but when your a mom and have nobody to do it for you it's hard. All I say is WHATEVER, NEVER AGAIN....
I'm not IMPRESSED with her..

Danica has finished her first year of elementary School- I get anxiety even thinking about her going to School ALL day, I love having my kids home and I love the time I get with them. Danica had a Jogapalooza at her school- all the kids were given a t-shirt and Danica won a big beach towel and sun glasses, she was so excited!!
Danica thought the jogapalooza was SO much fun.
Danica had her face painted at school for one of there field day fun, Here she is with her little sister- these girls are so darn cute and such a delight to have in our lives.
For Multi-cultural Day Danica was a Spanish girl- Shawn and I went to Spain a few years back and we bought Danica and Bryhn matching dresses, Danica looked so cute.
I thought this was cute: Danica wrote "When I go to the moon I will take bubbles", Now that would be a fun item to take to the moon.
She got that right- Danica is as busy as a bee..
Beautiful Girl
Danica had crazy hair day= she can do anything with herself and still be cute. Danica were SO proud of you and for how well you have done in school- keep up the good work and know how much we love you!

Thanksgiving Point

FUN TIMES..
Danica and the horse had many things to talk about
I am going backwards in months that lead up to the current date.. SO sorry So much has been going on. A few months ago the girls and I met with my friend Becky and her little one Holland, we met them at Thanksgiving Pointe and I must say we had a great time and the kids LOVED going with them.
Who doesn't LOVE horses, I love horses and my girls do as well, I will never forget as a little girl when my Grandpa Stevens would take us on horseback rides, the black horse here was so darling and I LOVE how soft there noses are..
Danica and Bryhn sure have amazing LOVE for animals.
Pony rides are ALWAYS a favorite with my kids, they seem to think they are SO natural..
Here is the baby goat (??), it was so cute, it kept trying to eat our hands. There is nothing better then a baby.
Bryhn posing on the sheep..
Danica doing the same, she wanted to hold Holland, I think Becky was a bit nervous of her to hold him by herself- I can't blame her, new babies are so fun and Holland is so dang cute and he is getting SO big.
We went on the hay ride and I noticed Bryhn had swollen red eye's I felt SO bad for her and knew my little blondie was allergic to one of the many animals she touched- I stopped at 7-11 on the way home and got her some claritin, it seemed to help her- I felt SO bad.. We had a great time, Becky we need to get together again SOON. Thanks for the fun day.

WHATS for Dinner ToNiGhT.....

Today is National Hot Dog day- so what are we having for dinner tonight..YeP HoT DoGs...

*i will post about the funeral when i have the right mind and emotions are controlled*

National Hot Dog Day

Photobucket

When : July 23rd

National Hot Dog Day celebrates one of America's favorite summer sandwiches. It is only fitting that this dog gets its day.

Its summertime. Hot dogs are center stage on the grill, and at picnics all across America. They are at the ballpark. They are sold from carts on street corners in every city. It's not hard to find them. We consume hundreds of millions of hot dogs on the Fourth of July alone.

Enjoy National Hot Dog Day to the fullest. Have a couple of hot dogs for lunch or dinner. And, don't forget to cook a few on a stick at the evening campfire.

What's in a hot dog? Don't' ask, and we won't tell. Sometimes, its best if you don't know.

Happy National Hot Dog Day!

Trent WE LOVE you and we will miss you..

"A special spirit had been sent to this earth His family was delighted by his birth. Their lives so enriched and blessed by this boy, Not knowing before such tremendous joy. He beat all the odds, this child of delight With all the struggles - he fought the good fight. Though his time was too short in many ways, He blessed their lives every one of those days. Now this angel has taken flight with grace - To arms of the Savior's loving embrace. Sweet Trent our dear brother, uncle and son Our eternal family has just begun." By my great friend Jan Samowitz

Hmmmm!!

Life has been frustrating, hard, and VERY tiring lately for our family.. On Friday it will be 6 weeks since we took Trent into the hospital and 6 weeks since we have been there. It is such a joke, I am TOO tired and emotional to write what is going on... please please continue to pray for Trent and our Family- we have appreciated your LOVE and support:

"There are three parts to the plan. You are in the second or the middle part, the one in which you will be tested by temptation, by trials, perhaps by tragedy......
"Remember this! The line 'And they all lived happily ever after' is never written into the second act [of a play]. That line belongs in the third act, when the mysteries are solved and everything is put right. ....
"Until you have a broad perspective of the eternal nature of [the plan], you won't make much sense out of the inequities in life. Some are born with so little and others with so much. Some are born in poverty, with handicaps, with death, even innocent children. There are the brutal, unforgiving forces of nature and the brutality of man to man. We have seen a lot of that recently.
"Do not suppose that God willfully causes that which, for His own purposes, he permits. When you know the plan and the purpose of it all, even these things will manifest a loving Father in Heaven" (The Play and the plan [satellite broadcast, 7 May 1995], 1-2).

Flashback Friday...

I will never forget when this picture was taken.. it was in the Cottonwood mall in a little photo booth. I love this picture- it was so fun to be with my Mom and Danica and have this cute picture taken. My Mom is a WONDERFUL person, I LOVE my MOM SO much.. This stuff with Trent really gets me worried for her health.
I will never forget in 1997 when she was in heart failure, I thinks she recieved a broken heart when her best friend Cheryl passed away from cancer. My Mom is such a care giver, no matter her tiredness or weakness she never shows it and she just keeps on going... My Mom is a HARD worker, she is amazing and can do SO many things- this women can cook up a hearty meal, grow flowers (that i love), she must have given me the knack.. She can sew ANYTHING- I have been blessed to have both my daughters blessing dress as well as my bro and sister in laws kids and many more out there made by my mom.
My Mom is just a helper in all aspects, she is just the greatest they come; I was so blessed when I had Danica and Bryhn to have her by my side, there is just something about feeling crappy and going through something scary to want your Mom; I know how Trent must feel at nights when his Mom and Dad are gone. My Mom took care of our really good friend who died of AIDS.. There is one thing about my Mom, she has taught us kids to have UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for EVERYONE! I am blessed with this and my kids are starting to understand it as well. Thanks Mom for ALWAYS being there, for taking care of Danica when she was just out of the NICU because I had to go back to work- My Dad and Mom were so generous to make time for my little one. I LOVE YOU MOM!!!

Kindergarten 2008-2009...

I am a bit behind on my posts because of the situation with my sweet bro Trent, so we will be going back a month or so... Danica has a little sister Bryhn who sure looks up to her, I tell ya lately though- they sure like to fight.. Bryhn is really starting to hold her own, we feel blessed to have both of these miracles in our lives.
Here is Danica with the Principal, he is such a great guy and is out with the teachers loading and unloading the kids. Danica looks forward to running to him to give him a hug.. Danica has an amazing sense and has SO much love to give to others, Danica is a great kid.. As her teacher said "Danica is a Social Butterfly, the kids LOVE to listen to her more then me"...
Here is Mrs. Lewis, another teacher in Danica's class... It's great help to have her there as well as the parents that go and volunteer. I had the oppurtunity to be a volunteer many times and it was a great job to have!
Mrs. Tyler, I am SO nervous for next year since I do NOT know any of the teachers, I am not sure they can top Mrs. Tyler: WE LOVED Mrs. Tyler, this lady is amazing and even since school has been out Danica has cried for her, she wants her to be her teacher, I hope she will do good in the first grade!
Danica and her Friend Zac..
Look at these cute kids and how HARD they worked on there program, it was a great program with SO much time put into it..
CUTE KIDS!!!!
Danica waiting for ACTION!!
Danica's Science project, we were in a hurry to get her picture so we could listen to the rest of the projects, her's was awesome. I have it in my back log- it is fun and it would be fun for summer time!!
100 days, They had a party when they hit 100 days; her cute teacher took this picture.
I cannot belive my little 2 pound baby is now going to be in the first grade, how time goes fast; Danica is such a special girl and our Morning Star- we have truely been blessed, we love you Danica and are SO proud of the GREAT job you did in kindergarten, I am going to be SO sad when she is in first grade, I really enjoy being with my kids- my stomach hurts to think this will be Bryhn's last year of preschool.. I cannot even think about it or I will get a headache.
Thank You Heavenly Father for these 2 blessings in our lives.

Look At this Face...

Look at this face
I know the years are showing
 Look at this life
I still don't know where it's going
  I don't know much
But I know I love you
And that may be all I need to know
 Look at these eyes
They've never seen what mattered
 Look at these dreams
 So beat and so battered
 I don't know much
But I know I love you
 That may be
all I need to know
 So many questions
 still left unanswered
 So much
I've never broken through
And when I feel you near me
 Sometimes I see so clearly
The only truth I've ever known is
 me and you
 Look at this man
 So blessed with inspiration
 Look at this soul
 Still searching for salvation
  I don't know much
But I know I love you
And that may be
 all I need to know
 I don't know much
But I know I love you
 That may be
 all I need to know
 I don't know much
But I know I love you
 That may be
 all there is to know
I will never forget when I was little my Mom would always
cry to this song and
say that it
reminded her of Trent, through the years it has become a song I have also loved
and felt the connection...
So, I decided to post the words, it was sung by Linda
Ronstadt and Aaron Neville..
I really don't think many of you understand the love
we have for our Trent, he is such an amazing person and SO full of LIFE- I am not
sure I have ever met anyone who has loved life as much as Trent, he has such
determination and fight in him.
Yesterday was an ok day- it started out with many tears and for the past 35 days I do
not think there is one day there is not a tear from one of our eye's. Trent was taken
off the vent on Tuesday and one of his lung drains was also taken off, this was a big
day.. Then yesterday morning when my parents went to see him (as they were at the
hospital til 2am the night before).. My Mom said he was slouched over with this big
thing on his head, a fever and his heart rate in the 190 area (high), his blood
pressure was high as well.. I think at this point we were all lost and confused,
I cannot even imagine the feelings my little brother has, the pain he has endured.
It takes me back to Christ and how he died for us, how he was on the cross: nailed
mind you to the cross, thorns in his head, I know that Christ is feeling our pain
and the tears he senses, he knows how much we love Trent. Trent is his perfect being
these disabled children, adults, babies- they are more perfect then any of us. I see
them as our examples in life, how can one not love these amazing people. If you have
not had a Trent in your life I encourage you to go over and do volunteer work at
Jordan Valley in Midvale... Go somewhere where your heart can be touched. I LOVE YOU
TRENT.. I cannot imagine life without Trent, he has been me and my brothers life
since the day he was born. We did not go on vacations like the average family, Trent
was too critical with his seizures: I do not even care, Our vacations have been
enjoying EVERY minute of Trent, seeing his smile, looking at his face when he gets
his balloons, taking him for rides.. Life has been good- we have definantely been
blessed..
Trent was doing ok when I left, No real alarm, though everything is still touch and
go. We were scared yesterday.. My wonderful husband gave him a blessing and while
doing this Trent was not having spasms or moving at all- he was so calm. I love this
kid, I love my husband for being able to give him this blessing, as he has done so
many times. Trent, hold strong were all cheering for you.
